Welcome to the Coombs Wood Cricket Club web site. We are a long established Social, Cricket and Bowling Club based in Halesowen on grounds developed originally for the Stewarts and Lloyd Tube Works company. More recently the land was owned by British Steel.
We currently play in the following leagues :
- Saturday : Crusader Worcesterhire County League
- Sunday : Worcesterhire Sunday Club Cricket League
During the winter the club also enters a team in the Sandwell Indoor Cricket League.
For the 2008 season the Club will operate the following teams:
- Saturday : 4 teams in Divisions 2 [1st XI ], 1 [2ndXI], 6 [3rd XI] and 9 [4th XI] of the Crusader Worcestershire County League
- Sunday : 1st and 2nd XI in Divisions 1 and 2 or the Worcesterhire Sunday Club Cricket League
In addition the Club has a thriving Junior Section with teams in various age groups from Under 8’s kwik-cricket to Under 17’s.
